Cynthia D. Adkins, President Known worldwide as a concierge industry leader, Cynthia Adkins has been a concierge for nearly 20 years, and has been in the hospitality industry since her first job at an amusement park at the age of 16. She is the immediate past president of the International Concierge & Errand Association (ICEA) and has served as an Executive Board Member for regional and national Concierge Associations. Prior to founding Concierge At Large, Inc. in 1997, Cynthia Adkins' professional experience includes serving as Chief Concierge and Director of Guest Services for the Loews Coronado Bay Resort and the San Diego Pan Pacific Hotel. Adkins is a recipient of both the Concierge of the Year award from the San Diego Concierge Association and the prestigious Gold Key Award for Hospitality Employee of the Year from the Hotel & Motel Association. She was the keynote speaker for the National Concierge Association's annual conference in 1998 and the International Concierge & Errand Association's annual conference in 2003. She is one of only 25 concierges worldwide to be distinguished as an "NCA Certified Concierge" She was also an active member of the 1998 and 2003 Super Bowl Host Committees. Adkins currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Executive Women's Council at the University Club in San Diego and is a Certified Travel Associate. A former flight attendant and self-described "foodie", Cynthia enjoys experiencing regional cuisines and wines on her travels with her husband, a Fire Captain for the City of San Diego. An adoptive mom of two "gorgeous and talented" kids, she is a frequent speaker at social service orientations for prospective adoptive parents.		Cynthia Adkins
Jennifer Hecker, Director of Luxury Services & Community Development Jennifer Hecker began her career in hospitality in 1985 working at Sea World of California, where she was an ambassador to the park for five years. Realizing her passion for the travel and tourism industry, she went on to work as a concierge at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines for nearly a decade. During this time, she also produced a monthly concierge current events publication for several high-profile hotel chains. Earning her B.A. degree in International Relations, Jennifer graduated with honors from National University. She enjoys utilizing her strong research skills to deliver out-of-the-ordinary results for her clients. Taking delight in troubleshooting unique situations, she considers being a concierge the ideal job - one that is fun, challenging and always diverse. A Notary Public and licensed real estate agent, the second-generation San Diego native has traveled around the globe, taking great interest in Central and South America. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys volunteer work, traveling and hiking the back country of San Diego County.		Jennifer Hecker
Karen S. Somers, Director of Marketing Karen joined Concierge At Large, Inc. in 2003 bringing her expertise in marketing and group coordination. Somers has over 12 years experience in the hospitality industry starting as a hotel concierge at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina. An opportunity to learn the convention and trade show world lead the way to GES Exposition Services. She found her passion for group coordination at PRA Destination Management where she later was asked to join their corporate marketing team. Karen expanded these marketing and advertising skills while working with the World-Famous San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park. Somers attended San Diego State University earning a BA degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising and obtained a Minor in Sociology. She has lived in San Diego for 25 years to include seven different neighborhoods. “I love to just drive around the county to look at all the different architecture”, she explains. Karen, her husband, and their two children have settled in Chula Vista, a region in South County San Diego. She loves walking her dog right at sunset, eating at restaurants “only the locals know about”, and playing in her neighborhood Bunco group. Karen aspires to be more of a world traveler and looks forward to experiencing new cities and cultures with her family.		Karen Somers
ErinMarie Reiter, Director of Corporate Services & Travel Services ErinMarie Reiter was born and raised in San Diego and thinks it is one of the best places to call home. She grew up in Point Loma and went to San Diego State University. There she studied with a double Major in English and Theater with a minor in History. ErinMarie also had the unique opportunity to be a U.S. Ambassador to Portugal, Spain and Mexico for a year in 1997. This diverse background of interests has helped her come up with some fun solutions to unique situations that she has encountered as a concierge. On a whim she went to a job fair for the Hotel Del Coronado and found the job she would discover she was meant to have. ErinMarie has had the privilege of working at the Hotel Del Coronado and Loews Coronado Resort as a concierge as well as in the Catering & Wedding departments. But the love of being a concierge got the better of her and she is pleased to have found a job that is challenging, rewarding and fun. Besides enjoying her job, ErinMarie loves to go to theater, read, go out with her husband and friends and travel to far off places. The glaciers of Alaska, an African Safari and swimming with sharks are on her list of adventures, wish her luck!		ErinMarie Reiter
